Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up persona, shows how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell also has worked in the top New York restaurants, has studied Italian food, its culture and traditions, and was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell, who grew up within New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. Following her graduation with an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. I couldn't seem to get enough out of the experience. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell spent a period of time in Italy taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy Burrell developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. This will have a significant impact on how Burrell cooks. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids with disabilities. Burrell is often a guest speaker at conferences and travels throughout the United States to mentor others in her role. Anne has, through her whole culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to be able to share this passion for the food industry with people.
